Are you currently home working when normally you would be office based? Your set up with the display screen equipment that you are working with at home can pose a risk. It is therefore advised that you carry out a basic DSE assessment to minimise this risk (The HSE website has information for you to check your set-up or visit If you are employed, you may be provided with a checklist to complete.

In the event that any initial steps you have put in place still results in discomfort when you are working at your desk we can help. We are offering initial one to one consultations via Zoom or telephone and as Covid restrictions relax we could attend your home and help you directly with the optimum DSE set-up with the equipment you are using.

Also, North Oxford Physiotherapy Clinic is now open and offering clinic appointments. Measures are in place to minimise risk to our clients when attending the clinic. If you would prefer to consult over the telephone/zoom this can also be offered.

Oxford Ergonomics was founded in 2006 by Chartered Physiotherapist Sharon Bladen-Green to provide physiotherapy care to individuals in the Oxford Ergonomics clinic just outside Oxford and to give occupational health advice and training to companies around Oxfordshire and throughout central England.

Oxford Ergonomics draws on three key areas of Sharon’s experience in physiotherapy:
  • She is a chartered physiotherapist with a comprehensive grounding in all areas of physiotherapy practice. Having graduated as a Chartered Physiotherapist in 1992, Sharon worked in a range of specialist areas in the NHS, including general surgery, respiratory, CCU, paediatrics, orthopaedics, trauma, outpatient musculoskeletal care, neurology and community care. She worked alongside some of the top orthopaedic specialists in the world at the prestigious Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre, Oxford, working in Rheumatology and with patients undergoing joint prosthesis replacement and constructive knee surgical procedures. She also worked in the sports injury clinic at the Nuffield before specialising into the treatment of back, neck & other musculoskeletal conditions and disorders.
  • She is an experienced trainer and facilitator with a wide experience in occupational health, having worked with an independent occupational provider as an occupational health consultant, where she developed an extensive knowledge of DSE usage, ergonomic assessment, staff health assessments and all the legislation relating to occupational health and health and safety at work.
  • She is a fully qualified Occupational Health and Ergonomist physiotherapist, with experience in working with corporate clients to manage staff illness in line with current legislation and to seek preventative pathways involving the promotion and awareness of healthy and sustainable work practices.
Sharon works with a number of key associates to ensure that a full range of physiotherapy and related services are provided to our clients.
